How East Orlando Electric Got Started
East Orlando Electric was founded in 2014 by Spencer Saunders, a licensed electrician who had spent years working for other contractors before deciding to build something of his own. Spencer got into the trade straight out of high school, tagging along with a family friend on job sites because he liked that it was hands-on work with visible results at the end of every day.
After working under other companies for a number of years, Spencer grew frustrated with how many operations treated customers as just another ticket — overselling services, rushing jobs, and disappearing when problems came up. He wanted to run a shop differently. East Orlando Electric was the result.
The company started small — just Spencer and a couple of trusted colleagues taking on residential work in East Orlando neighborhoods. Word spread fast, because the formula was simple: show up, be honest, do quality work, and treat people like neighbors, not revenue.
Over a decade later, East Orlando Electric is still operating by those same principles. We've grown into a reliable team of licensed electricians serving homeowners and small businesses across Orlando, FL, but we've never forgotten what made us worth calling in the first place.
